Tis the Season to... figure out creative gift-giving solutions. And the rest of my life. Which is going pretty okay considering the complete shift in...shifts! Our sleep patterns are completely askew. I probably shouldn't write anything until I'm really awake. :-)

Once again, it's all a matter of "stealing time" to make something. That's a good thing. There's a lot of Change in my life right now so I'm thinking that it's best to take the time I can get. I'd just as soon not make Big Decisions but have an opportunity to make lots of Little Ones.

GREAT work day with another couple ahead of me. Nice to know I can just slip in some art if I want.

Oh well...at least I'm trying. I did do most of what was needed today...actually I ONLY did what was needed and set aside the rest. 'Guess this means this image was necessary. I'm looking forward to working from scratch with just the sketch and find new layers for textures....

BTW, business is zipping and I'm right at my threshold. Hmmm. Guess I should try to raise that soon. ;-) G'night.

I have so much to do today. So...I decided to take a break before I started anything!

There are Photoshop renditions of an image created with a sketch I scanned and layers of flora photography; all mine. Not messy like painting.

Well...my walking partner cancelled. My client cancelled. My dad cancelled. Oh well. Reworked this image and now I'm off. This one took a little longer because I stopped for breakfast. :-)

I "time stamped" this one (like yesterday's post) because I want to note when I'm finding the time to be creative. These last two images took maybe all of a half hour so I think of them more as improvisations rather than finished art. Just sayin'!

Finally! I'm actually sitting at my computer and creating something that has absolutely no direct purpose. Business is building and it seems like all of my creative energy is used to keep it growing. That's Good. That's All-American. That's taking a lot out me!

Welcome back to the Pendulum...oops I never left. There's a few blog entries aways back about the Great Pendulum swings of Life. I don't really think It ever stops; we just get used to the pace, much like jumping rope. It's all okay until something whacks It out and we find ourselves hastily avoiding gravity. I think self-employment does that to a person on a regular basis anyway.

So I promised myself that when I woke this morning, since I don't have clients today, that I would totally take a day off. I promised myself I would spend some time on this. (Of course, I will have to spend some time on work stuff because it never stops...no matter how many clients I have.)

And now "day off" doesn't mean sitting and sulking; I have chores to do. I have neglected-chores. I have projects. We're doing a garage sale so I have sorting, organizing, and cleaning to do. It's all good. So far though, I don't have much to sell because I completely pared down for the move out here 15 months ago...I really do like visiting my stuff though.
