These are the musings of a frustrated Artist who has decided to embrace obstacles rather than ramming into them. You won't find "lemonade" here but more likely Life's lemons have been made into a sculpture, a photograph, a short story or even just eaten straight. So, pucker up Folks. Who knows? Today (8/19/05), I can truly relate to this image...
My house is ruined; I will see the damage for the first time later this afternoon. Our chimney had collapsed and then rain innudated our 3-story rowhome. I've been on vacation with no means of getting home. My insurance company sucks but I have a public adjuster who may be willing to take them on for me.
How does this relate to dinosaurs on the Parkway? My surreal images are based on the premise that once we've destroyed ourselves, statues will come out and play. It's about knowing that I don't know. It's about the ridiculous and how it impacts my life. It's about fear and serendipity. And awe.
I know I will be truly in awe of the scope of damage I will be seeing later today.
My plan is to drink homemade spearmint tea all day and see what happens.
